Wal-Mart is slashing prices on the new entry level iPhone. The retailer cut the price of the 16-gigabyte 3GS by $100 to $97 with a two year contract. The price cut starts today and as of right now doesn't have an end date. This could be a sign that Apple is trying to clear its inventory ahead of next month's expected launch of a new iPhone model.
